Our fully mature 8 week old Boyd Quail are an excellent protein rich food source. They are sold in quantities of 50, consisting of one flat of 25 males and one flat of 25 females, and shipped in quantities of 100 or 150. We weigh each flat of 25 to assure males average at least 95g (3.5oz) each, and females average at least 120g (4.5oz) each. Individually, males can weigh up to 130g, and females can weigh as much as 160g. These are a favorite in raptor propagation projects and those managing high performance raptors due to the higher fat content and the presence of mature follicles in the females. This product comes with 25 frozen quail eggs for optional use as a supplement when feeding the male quail. They provide the rich, yellow fat of the yolk (which stays solid after thawing), mirroring the mature follicles present in the females.
